From Reykjavik via Selfoss and Hella, through the farmlands of Landssveit, around the foot of famous Mt. Hekla and into the uninhabited highlands. Landmannalaugar, an area of recent volcanic activity, has colorful rhyolite mountains, rugged lava fields, hot springs, a mountain hut with camping site and a natural warm pool for relaxation. Landmannalaugar is also the beginning or end of the Laugavegur Hiking Route. Schedule is based on normal road and weather conditions. Pick up is not available for this tour. This tour is cd-guided. For those wishing to board the bus in Selfoss village: the bus stops at N1 Fossnesti gas station. It is not necessary to book seats on our scheduled buses. You just need to show up with your booking confirmation on any date you wish within the published bus schedule and you will get a seat on the bus. In case the bus fills up, another bus will arrive to pick up extra passengers – so there is always availability!
