15/15a Skaftafell - Jökulsárlón

This day tour departs Skaftafell twice daily, heading to the magnificent Jökulsárlón. Return to Skaftafell is 2 hours after your arrival so you can enjoy the unique Jökulsárlón.

You will catch a view of Europe's biggest and most impressive glacier Vatnajökull on one side and black sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean on the other side. Jökulsárlón (the Glacier Lagoon) is a glacial river lagoon with huge blocks of ice that break off the glacier and float on the lagoon, creating unique surroundings. The lagoon is not very wide but is 200 meters deep, and the ice that floats in the lagoon is over a 1000 years old.

This tour is based on normal road and weather conditions. Pick up is not available for this tour.
This tour is auto-guided. For this Day Tour passengers holding a valid Reykjavik Excursions Iceland on Your Own Bus passs can enter the bus at any of the Iceland on your ownd bus stops.

It is not necessary to book seats on our scheduled buses.
