Reykjavik Excursions (RE) was founded in 1968 and has since been the leading organizer of day tours in Iceland. RE is a fully licensed tour operator and travel agent. RE operates one of the biggest bus fleets in Iceland making the company one of the largest organizers of tours both for individuals and groups in Iceland.

Iceland on Your Own - Bus Network:
Reykjavik Excursions operates tours during the summer with CD guidance in English. The comprehensive service of these tours is an inexpensive and flexible way for people to travel and an excellent opportunity to reach the most remote highlights of Iceland by coach, which are not so easy to reach by car. On offer are also 4 various Bus Passports, i.e. Highlights Passport, Beautiful South Passport, Highland Circle Passport and Beautiful South - Circle Passport which all allow you to visit the most magical places. Flybus Service:

Coach Rental for private groups:
Reykjavik Excursions takes pride in tailor making and organizing tours for private groups, from short trips within Reykjavík to full circle programs.
Our fleet of modern coaches consists of over 60 vehicles, varying from 8 to 70 seats, all in excellent condition. They are spacious, comfortable and equipped with safety belts. Our fleet also includes 4x4 coaches suitable for crossing un-bridged glacier rivers, hence reaching almost any destination in the highlands.
Our drivers are highly qualified with years of experience. RE has its own maintenance crew, which ensures upkeep of the coaches and safety for the passengers.
Þórsmörk Nature Reserve:
Reykjavik Excursions owns and operates facilities in the Þórsmörk Nature Reserve. The location is perfect for team building, meetings or individuals travelling on their own, the only distraction being beautiful nature. In Þórsmörk, there are unique mountain hut facilities. Two of these mountain huts can accommodate up to 64 people in sleeping bags. In addition there is one hut with 13 twin rooms and 8 small cottages for 4-5 persons each. The twin rooms and cottages can be rented as sleeping bag accommodation or with made up beds. In a smaller service house there are showers and a sauna, as well as kitchen facilities for guests. The larger service house has a common room with small restaurant, offering soup of the day and sandwiches. For groups this larger house is used for full serviced meals.
“Hop On – Hop Off” City Sightseeing:
Reykjavik Excursions operates double-decker busses within the "Hop On – Hop Off" concept, which is known all over Europe. This bus rotates in Reykjavík on daily basis, from June through August. Every hour on the hour (10.00–16.00) the tour will operate, with 10 stops around the city centre. Passengers can “hop off” and “hop on” at any of these 10 stops and stay for a period of time and then carry on with the tour. Each ticket is valid for 24 hours.
The busses are equipped with a guidance system offering 8 languages: Icelandic, English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian.
