Day 1 - Snæfellsnes Peninsula
The tour heads off from Reykjavik at 10 am, stopping at the town of Borgarnes for lunch. The day is spent driving around the gorgeous Snæfellsnes peninsula, stopping at its many highlights of history and geology. Among the main attractions here are the old villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, Djúpalónssandur beach and the town of Grundarfjörður, places of diverse natural beauty that offer sights like seals, lava fields and caves. That’s not to mention the natural superstars of Kirkjufell mountain and the most magical glacier in the world, Snæfellsjökull. After this grand tour of Snæfellsnes peninsula the tour heads off to Hotel Husafell to enjoy a wonderful three-course dinner and comfortable accommodation.
Day 2 - Natural Wonders and History
The tour departs from Hotel Husafell at 10 am to a packed second day of natural wonders like Hraunfossar waterfalls and Deildartunguhver geyser, as well as some first-class history in the entertaining and educational exhibitions at Snorrastofa and The Settlement Center where we also stop for lunch. The tour returns to Reykjavik between 4 and 5 pm.
