Combine Iceland's most iconic sightseeing route with a 90-minute quad-bike ride through a living geothermal landscape. This full-day tour from Reykjavík pairs a guided ATV adventure across the Hengill volcanic area with the classic Golden Circle: Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal field and Gullfoss waterfall.

You'll start at the ATV base at Litla Kaffistofan, about 20 minutes from the city, where the guides fit your protective gear and run a full safety briefing. The bikes are fully automatic and easy to handle, so no previous experience is needed. Over 90 minutes you'll ride across lava fields and steaming ground, passing active geothermal boreholes and the vast Hellisheiði Power Plant — one of the largest of its kind in the world — with wide views over the Hengill mountains.
