Your options • ATV Tour with Transfer from Reykjavík. We collect you in the city and bring you back again; in between, a guided ride across the lava fields. Around three hours door to door, no car required. • Hengill Geothermal ATV Tour — 1.5 hours. Ride through lava and Iceland's largest geothermal area, with a stop for traditional Icelandic rye bread and butter. • Volcano Valley ATV Tour — 2.5 hours. A longer ride for more time among the volcanic peaks and valleys.

What's included

A round-trip transfer (on the transfer tour), an English-speaking guide, the ATV, insulated overalls, a helmet and a safety briefing. Everything's organised — you just turn up ready for the weather.

Good to know

• A valid driving licence is required, and two riders share each ATV. • Solo riders and odd-numbered groups pay a single-rider fee on site. • Not suitable for children aged 7 and under; one child per adult. • We recommend a warm base or mid layer and water-resistant boots.
